Roles and Responsibilities Essential Functions and Responsibilities The Director of Pricing – Moving APAC/ME is a strategic leadership role responsible for developing, executing, and overseeing the organization’s regional Moving pricing strategy to maximize profitability, market competitiveness, and customer value. This role partners closely with Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Operations to ensure pricing structures are analytically driven, commercially sound, and aligned with corporate objectives. Description of Duty Strategic Pricing Development Develop and implement pricing frameworks, models, and policies that drive revenue growth and margin optimization across the regional Moving product and services portfolio. Ensure pricing strategies reflect market dynamics, customer segments, and competitive positioning. Establish governance and approval processes to maintain pricing discipline across the organization. Design and implement pricing strategies, models, systems, and internal controls that optimise revenue, profitability, and market share, while aligning client objectives. Develop and refine pricing models using advanced analytics, market research, and competitor analysis. Lead the evaluation of different pricing approaches (e.g., value-based pricing, dynamic pricing, cost-plus pricing) and recommend appropriate solutions. Analytics & Insights Lead the analysis of pricing performance, elasticity, and profitability across Moving products, services, and regions. Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to inform commercial decision-making. Provide executive-level reporting and recommendations on pricing outcomes and forecasts. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Legal to align pricing with business objectives and customer needs. Partner with Sales to design structures, discounting guidelines, and value-based pricing strategies. Work with Finance to ensure pricing models align with cost structures and profitability targets. Market & Competitive Analysis Continuously monitor competitor pricing, market and industry trends, cost drivers, and regulatory changes. Use data-driven insights to adjust strategies proactively and maintain a competitive edge. Data Analytics & Reporting Oversee advanced margin, cost, and historical pricing analyses. Track KPIs and present insights and recommendations to senior leadership. Pricing Execution & Tools Implement and manage pricing tools (systems). Streamline processes and enhance automation. Negotiations & Customer Proposals Support RFP bid strategy and negotiation. Lead the pricing logic in client-facing proposals. Team Leadership & Mentorship Lead and develop a team of pricing analysts and managers. Drive training on analytics, pricing frameworks, and system tools. Qualifications and preferred skills (Qualifications, Skills, Education or Certification Requirements, etc.) 10 years of progressive experience in pricing, revenue management, or commercial strategy, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Strong financial acumen and deep understanding of pricing methodologies (e.g., cost-plus, value-based, dynamic pricing). Proven track record of driving revenue growth and margin improvement through pricing strategies. Experience in [insert industry if tailored, e.g., logistics, FMCG, technology] highly desirable.
