Description Purpose We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our SAAS property technology company, OpenTech Alliance. As a BDM, you will be responsible for generating and managing revenue opportunities in each territory. A BDM will work in a true team environment while meeting an individual quota. While working with both the installed base of accounts and developing new business opportunities, a BDM will interface with C-level executives, Facility Managers, Operational leadership, and business owners to understand their operations and strategically position and sell OpenTech’s solutions to help them exceed operational goals. Responsibilities: Lead Generation and Prospecting : Identify and engage with potential clients, partners, and key stakeholders to generate new business leads. Use OpenTech’s CRM system to document all customer interactions Build and maintain a strong network of industry contacts to facilitate business development opportunities. Conduct cold calls, emails, and in-person meetings to establish and nurture business relationships. Market Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential business opportunities and trends. Analyze market data and competitor information to develop strategic plans and recommendations. Business Strategy Development: Assist in developing and implementing effective business development strategies to achieve company goals. Provide accurate, timely pipeline reports and sales forecasts Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify target markets and segments for new business initiatives. Identify and evaluate potential partnerships, alliances, and investment opportunities. Proposal Development and Negotiation: Prepare persuasive proposals, presentations, and pitches to secure new business opportunities. Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to ensure mutually beneficial agreements. Collaborate with internal teams to develop competitive pricing strategies. Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders. Manage existing accounts along with the Territory CSM to cross sell products and services Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing valuable insights and solutions. Resolve client issues and concerns in a timely and satisfactory manner. Training, Documentation, and Enablement Deliver onboarding sessions and technical walkthroughs (virtual and/or onsite where required). Provide post go-live support to ensure adoption, troubleshoot early-life issues, and reinforce best practices. Identify recurring onboarding friction points and recommend improvements to processes, training, and product/feature usability. Operations Support and Field Services Support regional operations by picking, packing and shipping hardware for customers, installers and partners. Coordinate with Operations personnel to ensure orders are accurate, dispatched on time and tracked through delivery. Provide onsite support at storage facilities when needed, including assisting with pilots, installations, training and issue resolution. Assist the Director of Australia and New Zealand with ad hoc operational needs, such as scheduling, vendor coordination, basic reporting and follow up on action items. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field. Proven experience in business development, sales, or related roles. Strong knowledge of the industry and market trends. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software. Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset. Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
