With a booming, culturally rich and diverse community, and less than an hourâs drive from the CBD (still within the bounds of Myki and ride-sharing), Melbourneâs North is fast becoming the place to be.   Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Registered Nurse to join the  Cardiac Cath Lab team.  Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourneâs rapidly growing outer north.  Services are provided through our five main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.  About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Cardiac Cath Lab team. This is an exciting opportunity to utilise your specialised skills in a high-acuity environment, working alongside an expert multidisciplinary team.  The Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory (Cath Lab) at Northern Health is located on the ground floor of our Epping campus. We provide a full range of diagnostic, interventional, and electrophysiology services for patients with cardiovascular disease. Our service is supported by a 24/7 Emergency Department and an on-call roster for urgent cardiac procedures. We also work closely with our Cardiac Investigations Unit, offering comprehensive structural and functional studies.  This role requires you to provide safe, effective, and patient-centred nursing care across all aspects of the Cath Lab, including patient preparation, intra-procedural support, post-procedure recovery, and discharge planning. You will also be expected to respond to acute and emergency presentations, ensuring the highest standard of care is delivered at all times.  To be successful in this role you will have: Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse. Prior experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab (essential). Advanced Life Support certification (current). Postgraduate qualification in Critical Care/Cardiac Nursing or working towards (desirable). Excellent clinical assessment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships with patients, families, and colleagues. Commitment to ongoing education, training, and professional development.
