Lead the story that connects every part of Affinity. We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Head of Corporate Communications to lead the next chapter of Affinity’s communication strategy — connecting our people, families, and communities through clear, authentic, and engaging storytelling. Reporting to the Chief Customer Officer, this senior leadership role offers a unique opportunity to shape how we share our vision, celebrate our impact, and strengthen our reputation as a trusted leader in early childhood education and care. If you’re ready to lead communications that truly make a difference, this role is your chance to drive engagement, trust, and alignment across our organisation. What You’ll Do Lead the development and execution of Affinity’s corporate communications strategy, bringing our mission to life through consistent, meaningful messaging. Champion internal communications that connect our teams to our culture, values, and strategic direction. Oversee external relations and media engagement, positioning our executive team and organisation as a voice of leadership within the ECEC sector. Guide brand and reputation management, ensuring every communication reflects who we are and what we stand for. Lead crisis and issues management, providing trusted strategic counsel during sensitive or high-impact moments. Uphold excellence in regulatory and compliance communications, partnering closely with senior leaders to ensure alignment across key audiences. Deliver engaging digital and traditional content, from corporate campaigns to publications and executive communications. Build and mentor a talented communications team with clear goals, strong collaboration, and a shared commitment to quality. What You’ll Bring At least 10 years’ experience in corporate communications, with 5 years in a senior leadership role in a large or multi-site organisation. Proven ability to lead strategic communications, manage media and crisis situations, and provide high-level counsel to executives and boards. Strong understanding of the Australian media, government, and regulatory environment. Exceptional communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills. A calm, collaborative, and confident approach under pressure. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Communications, PR, or Journalism. Experience in early education, education, or health sectors (highly regarded). Why This Role Matters At Affinity, we’re proud of the story we’re building together, every day — from our centres to the Support Office. This is your chance to craft how that story is told, shared, and celebrated across Australia. How to Apply If you’re currently part of the Affinity team and see yourself leading this important work, we’d love to hear from you.
