Description About the role: Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this newly created role plays a key part in strengthening Port Waratah’s governance, risk and compliance practices. Partnering with key stakeholders across the business, you will help ensure risks are well understood, managed and embedded into day‑to‑day decision‑making. You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the risk management framework, business risk register and governance documentation, as well as supporting the organisation to respond to regulatory change. This is a permanent part‑time role (0.5 FTE), offering flexibility to work across 2–4 days per week, with time based on‑site to effectively support business partnering. Key responsibilities include: Maintain and continuously improve Port Waratah’s risk management framework Lead updates to the business risk register in consultation with leaders and teams Ensure risk management policies and procedures remain contemporary and fit for purpose Monitor regulatory changes and maintain governance documentation Develop and deliver training and guidance to build organisational capability in risk management Support governance, risk and compliance initiatives aligned with business requirements.
