Walcha Council Part-Time, Permanent Position Walcha Council is seeking a Library Services Officer to support our Council Library functions. You will work closely with Council's Library & Youth Services Coordinator to successfully deliver Library services to our community. About the Role As a Library Services Officer you will be required to promote library and youth services within the community, deliver quality customer service to the users of the library and assist with inclusive youth activities for Council area youth. This position is currently one day per week at our Walcha Library, with the potential opportunity for additional days to cover staff leave or absences. Key Duties & Responsibilities Maintenance and turnover of materials provided for public access Promote library services and youth activities within the community Ensure availability of the library service to minority groups and outlying village areas Ensure that effective relationships are maintained with the State Library and CNRL What You’ll Bring Well developed written and oral communication skills Well developed computer skills Ability to work unsupervised Flexibility, as additional hours may be offered Currency with Central Northern Regional Library guidelines and systems First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain Working With Children Check What We Offer This is a Part-Time Permanent position (7.5 hours per week) starting at $230.42 (gross) superannuation per week based on Band 1 Level 3, Grade 2 of the Local Government (State) Award 2023.
