Systems Analyst – Full-Time Permanent Location: Bundaberg, QLD 4670 Company: MyState Bank Salary Range: $90,500 – $114,000 Applications close: 16 March 2026 About the Role MyState Bank is seeking a skilled Systems Analyst to support, maintain, and analyse our core lending applications and related business systems. This role is responsible for system support, incident management, functional analysis, basic configuration, and assisting across testing and change initiatives. You will help ensure stability, accuracy, and strong performance across MyState’s lending systems. You will work closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and third‑party vendors to resolve issues, understand user needs, support enhancements, and continuously improve system performance and the end‑user experience. Key Responsibilities Systems Analysis & Documentation Analyse business and functional requirements for enhancements and process improvements. Document system behaviours, functional specifications, and user processes. Investigate system limitations and performance issues and recommend improvements. Clarify requirements with development teams and validate proposed solutions. Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications. Conduct impact analysis on proposed system changes. Perform gap analysis between existing system functionality and business needs. Application Support & Incident Management Respond to incidents and service requests for lending systems. Analyse configuration, application, and data issues to identify root causes and implement solutions, escalating when required. Maintain accurate records of issues, causes, and resolutions. Provide high‑quality support to internal business users including lending, credit, and operations. Testing & Change Support Assist with preparing and executing functional, integration, and regression test cases. Support UAT planning and coordination with business units. Prepare test data, execute test scripts, and document outcomes. Log and track defects using appropriate tools. System Administration & Configuration Assist with user access administration in accordance with security controls. Support configuration updates such as parameters, workflows, and business rules. Participate in release verification, smoke testing, and post‑deployment checks. Stakeholder & Vendor Engagement Liaise with IT teams, vendors, and project stakeholders to support issues and changes. Communicate progress, testing outcomes, and system impacts clearly. Provide guidance or training to end‑users as needed. Continuous Improvement Maintain documentation, knowledge bases, and system procedures. Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements to boost performance and user experience. Uphold strong service standards across the team. What You’ll Bring Essential 1–2 years’ experience in application support, systems analysis, or IT service desk. Experience troubleshooting issues in business applications. Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability. Ability to interpret business requirements and document system behaviours. Experience with SQL (basic queries) and/or XML desirable. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Desirable Experience in financial services, lending, or credit operations. Exposure to test case execution, regression testing, or UAT. Experience with application configuration, workflow tools, or rules engines. Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management tools.
