This is a Merchandise Planning Manager - Country Road (Accessories) role with Country Road Group based in Melbourne, VIC, AU Country Road Group Role Seniority - mid level More about the Merchandise Planning Manager - Country Road (Accessories) role at Country Road Group The purpose of this role is to lead and manage the Planning team for the Country Road Accessories business. You will be responsible for developing the strategic direction along with Product Development & Sourcing, Design & Buying teams. The primary focus of this role is to manage the financial performance through sales, gross profit and stock management. Please note that this is a 12 month contract Key Accountabilities Develop and manage the financial performance of the Accessories business according to budget forecast measured by Sales, Gross Profit & Stock Management Effect trading decisions through competitor analysis, product in-take to ensure that GP is maximised Brief and sign off of the promotional calendar/advertising in conjunction with Marketing and Design Analyse, recommend and finalise divisional forecasts by providing strategic and corporate viewpoints to determine most credible forecasts for current season and subsequent seasons Facilitate and drive a weekly assessment of the divisional performance & provide strategies on the actions required to maximise opportunities missed Along with the Design & Buying, set the range direction in line with the company design and financial strategy to meet customers needs Set the selling price for all channels - concession, retail Support with leadership growth plan and development for direct reports and ensure all team completed at all levels in team Provide leadership across merchandise planning, promoting vision and motivation for the team; ensuring clear paths of communications and information flow are developed and executed Drive a performance achievement culture through a focus on the development of team members skills and capability. Key Capabilities Strong industry experience - from a merchandise background in apparel preferred - a keen aesthetic and affinity with product & brand essential Experience in the lifestyle sector of the fashion industry preferred An understanding of general business practices Proven management experience and ability to lead and motivate large teams.
