About the opportunity Are you a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse with experience in gynaecology, oncology, or HDU? Look no further, Mercy Hospital for Women is currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated nurses to join our Ward 6 team in various permanent roles. We are a major public hospital and specialist referral centre with the medical, nursing, midwifery and allied health expertise to provide complex care for obstetric, neonatal and gynaecological needs. As a nurse in our hospital, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional care to patients in many specialty areas. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care to gynaecology, oncology, and HDU patients. Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Care for women throughout their cancer journey Care for a wide variety of gynaecological patients What you'll bring: You're resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart. To thrive in this role, you will have: Registration with AHPRA - Registered Nurse Division 1 Previous experience in gynaecology, oncology or surgical nursing Chemotherapy experience highly desirable Excellent clinical, assessment, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve. A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment. You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining: A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check. Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
