This role provides high-quality supervised clinical experience, enabling you to consolidate surgical skills, contribute to inpatient and outpatient care, and progress toward specialist training requirements. About This Role Your new role: As a Principal House Officer in General Surgery, you will provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care under consultant supervision while developing the skills and knowledge required for progression within surgical training pathways. You will work closely with consultants, registrars, junior medical staff and multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, effective and patient-centred surgical care. Key Responsibilities Include Assessing patients and initiating appropriate investigations and management plans Delivering inpatient and outpatient surgical care under consultant supervision Participating in ward rounds, theatre sessions and outpatient clinics Supporting early and effective discharge planning and clinical handover Supervising and providing guidance to junior medical staff About You You are a motivated medical practitioner with a strong interest in general surgery and a commitment to developing specialist clinical skills. You work well in team-based environments, communicate effectively and demonstrate professionalism, integrity and a focus on patient safety.
