About This Role Your new role: As a Clinical Nurse, you will practise autonomously while providing advanced clinical leadership in the management of patients with complex General Medical needs, including dementia and delirium care. You will play a pivotal role in coordinating care delivery, supporting nursing staff, and contributing to education, research, and quality initiatives. You will lead by example, applying high-level critical thinking and evidence-based practice to ensure safe, person-centred, and high-quality care across the unit. Key Responsibilities Deliver advanced, comprehensive person-centred nursing care in complex clinical situations Provide expert assessment, care planning, coordination and evaluation of patient outcomes Lead and support RNs, ENs, AINs and students through effective delegation and supervision Act in the absence of the Nurse Unit Manager/NG7 as required About You You are an experienced and confident Clinical Nurse who thrives in complex environments and demonstrates advanced clinical judgement, leadership and compassion. You are passionate about dementia and delirium management and committed to improving patient outcomes through evidence-based practice. About Us Ward 5A is a 28-bed inpatient ward providing patient centered care to patients with acute illness, significant cognitive age-related impairment and Hypertension. Ward 5A has eight high care beds, exclusively for patients with cognitive disorders. Ward 5A actively embraces and incorporates evidenced based nursing practices with innovative models of care delivery aimed at improving quality outcomes for its specific client population and staff. The ward therefore offers exciting leadership and management opportunities for Registered Nurses wanting to contribute in a positive, proactive and safe nursing team environment.
