About The Role Due to continued growth and a major turnaround commencing soon, Contract Resources is seeking a highly motivated Health & Safety Business Partner to join our site-based team in Lytton, QLD. Reporting to the HSE Lead (Projects), this role provides hands-on, field-based HSE support and action during one of our key client’s biggest turnarounds in the past decade. You will play a key role in leading and mentoring site teams to ensure the safe execution of specialist high-risk activities across all turnaround scopes. The role has a strong operational focus, ensuring compliance with the HSE Management System, relevant legislation, and project-specific HSE deliverables. This is a local position offering shutdown hours whilst being home each night. The role provides an excellent work-life balance and the opportunity to be part of a successful Oil & Gas turnaround. Duties will include but not limited to Ensure Corporate and Client HSE requirements are implemented and maintained to a high standard Identify and report high-risk issues to the Site Project Manager and HSE Lead that may impact HSE compliance Coordinate and assist with the development and implementation of risk assessments for work activities Conduct and participate in site inspections to verify HSE compliance and support internal and external audits Coordinate HSE incident investigations as directed Provide visible onsite leadership through proactive HSE management and site engagement Conduct and coordinate site inductions for maintenance and turnaround personnel Attend and engage in onsite prestart meetings with crews sharing key messages, knowledge and experience. Requirements & Experience Needed Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar HSE role within the Oil & Gas industry (essential) Proven experience supporting major shutdowns in a Health & Safety role (essential) Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (essential) Advanced understanding of WHS legislation and industry standards Self-motivated, team-oriented, and driven to add value to the discipline Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic site environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Well-developed IT skills (Word, Excel) High level of analytical and problem-solving capability Current Australian Driver’s Licence Full Australian working rights How to apply If you are seeking a challenging and rewarding role with a dynamic, growing organisation, please select the ‘Apply Now’ button to submit your application.
