This HRBP role leads the development and execution of the HR strategy for a manufacturing environment, aligning people initiatives with operational and business goals. It oversees industrial relations, talent acquisition, employment law compliance, and workforce capability to support a high‑performance, safe, and engaged workforce. Description 1. Strategic HR Leadership Develop and execute the HR strategy aligned to overall business objectives, operational plans, and future workforce needs. Provide strategic coaching to leadership teams on organisational design, change management, and workforce optimisation. Analyse data and workforce trends to proactively shape talent pipelines, retention strategies, and labour needs. 2. Industrial Relations (IR) & Employee Relations Lead and manage all IR matters, including negotiations, enterprise agreements, dispute resolution and union engagement. Support leaders in managing performance, grievances, disciplinary actions, and workplace investigations. Ensure harmonious workplace relations while balancing compliance, productivity, and commercial outcomes. 3. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning Oversee and improve end‑to‑end recruitment for technical, operational, and leadership roles within a manufacturing environment. Strengthen talent attraction strategies, employer branding, and recruitment processes to meet workforce demands. Conduct capability assessments and succession planning to address skill shortages and future talent needs. 4. Organisational Capability & Culture Lead initiatives that enhance employee engagement, leadership capability, and continuous improvement mindsets. Drive culture-building programs that support safety, teamwork, and operational excellence. Facilitate training, development, and performance management programs across the workforce. 5. Compliance & Employment Law Ensure full compliance with local employment legislation, modern awards, enterprise agreements, WHS requirements, and company policies. Partner with legal teams to manage risk and provide expert advice on complex employment issues. Maintain accurate HR records, audit HR processes, and ensure reporting compliance. 6. HR Operations & Continuous Improvement Improve HR systems, processes, and reporting to deliver efficient and consistent HR services. Use HR metrics and data analytics to inform decision‑making and identify opportunities for improvement. Support organisational changes including restructures, workforce transitions, and operational scale-ups. Profile Proven experience as an HR Business Partner supporting manufacturing, industrial, or heavy industry environments. Strong Industrial Relations expertise, including enterprise bargaining and union engagement. Demonstrated understanding of Australian employment law and compliance frameworks. Experience building and delivering HR strategy at site or business‑unit level. Strong knowledge of talent acquisition and workforce planning in manufacturing settings. You're available part-time (3/4 days a week) Desirable: Exposure to lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or operational excellence environments. Experience across multi-site operations or large, complex workforces.
