Primary Location VIC - Morwell Job Description Summary An exciting opportunity for a Quality, Innovation & Lean Improvement Lead to join Service Stream in Morwell About the Role Location: Site-based | Power & Industrial Assets Employment Type: Full-time or Contract Ready to make a visible impact on how work is planned, executed, evidenced, and improved? Service Stream is seeking a Quality, Innovation & Lean Improvement Lead to lift quality discipline and work-pack compliance across BAU maintenance and outages—while actively driving innovation, lean improvements, and optimisation that remove waste, reduce rework, and improve delivery flow. This is a hands-on, site-embedded role for someone who can simplify complexity, influence teams, and turn “what good looks like” into daily practice. About the Role You will lead the practical application of the site Quality Management approach across BAU and outage scopes—ensuring robust work-pack readiness, ITP discipline, hold/witness point governance, traceability, and document control. You will also champion innovation and lean manufacturing principles to reduce rework, improve flow, and deliver measurable performance uplift. A key differentiator in this role is your ability to identify inefficiencies early, self-report improvement opportunities , and drive actions through to completion—so benefits are visible, tracked, and sustained. You will operate within (and help reinforce) an ISO-aligned quality framework, including discipline consistent with AS/NZS ISO 9001:2016 and Quality Management Plans aligned to AS ISO 10005:2018 . Key Responsibilities Quality & compliance leadership Lead quality governance for BAU and outage scopes—ensuring work packs are complete, current, and execution-ready Drive ITP discipline including hold/witness point planning, tracking, and close-out integrity Strengthen document control and record management so evidence is complete, traceable, and audit-ready Lead nonconformance management (NCR identification, corrective actions, verification, and closure) Support audits, inspections, and verification activities, ensuring quality risks are surfaced early and addressed Innovation, lean manufacturing & optimisation Identify and remove waste (rework, delays, poor information flow, repeat errors, waiting time) using lean methods Build and maintain an improvement pipeline: ideas → trials → implementation → benefit realisation Drive optimisation through practical changes to work methods, preparation, work-pack quality, and execution efficiency Establish simple reporting that shows efficiencies identified, actions underway, and outcomes achieved Stakeholder alignment & performance uplift Partner with supervisors, planners, QA, engineering, and client stakeholders to standardise “good” practices Coach teams to lift first-pass quality, reduce rework loops, and improve return-to-service confidence Provide concise, decision-ready updates to leadership on quality risks, trends, and improvement progress What You’ll Bring Degree, trade, or technical background in Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, or related discipline Lean / Six Sigma certification advantageous (not essential) 5 years’ experience in Quality, Continuous Improvement, Lean / Operational Excellence , or maintenance delivery within heavy industry/power assets Working knowledge of AS/NZS ISO 9001:2016 aligned quality management systems in operational environments Exposure to developing, implementing, or working under Quality Management Plans aligned to AS ISO 10005:2018 Proven capability managing NCRs / nonconformance through to effective closure Demonstrated lean mindset with practical delivery—able to translate concepts into field-ready controls and behaviours Confidence influencing teams and stakeholders in a live operating environment High accountability, self-driven, and comfortable operating autonomously on site About Us Why Join Service Stream?
