This is a Tax Lawyer - Special Counsel role with Holding Redlich based in Sydney, NSW, AU Holding Redlich Role Seniority - senior More about the Tax Lawyer - Special Counsel role at Holding Redlich About The Role We are seeking a Special Counsel to join our National Tax Practice with a focus on front-end matters. With a preference for the successful candidate to be based in our Sydney office, the role will work closely with Partner, Dhanushka Jayawardena, and Senior Consultants, Chris Kinsella, and Stephen Jones. This newly created position is in support of the team’s growing practice and will be critical in servicing our clients’ frontend tax needs on a national scale including by providing structuring, implementation, and specialist advisory solutions. You will also assist our tax disputes and controversy practice from time to time, however, it is not essential for our successful candidate to have experience in backend tax matters. You will play an instrumental role in the team, working on significant and complex transactions and disputes giving you the opportunity to work directly with well-regarded practitioners and the Firm’s key clients. About You You will be a skilled and technical tax lawyer with 7 years PAE in frontend tax matters. Any equivalent experience at a reputable accounting firm will be highly regarded. You will have excellent legal analysis skills with the ability to originate solutions. Given this specialist practice, you will have a strong academic background in law and other relevant areas such as tax or accounting. You will be committed to achieving client outcomes and have a reputation for being a highly capable and reliable professional. You will also enjoy working within a team, including mentoring and imparting knowledge to junior lawyers.
