Job Brief: Position: Technical Service Representative Location: Smithfield, NSW 2164 Job type: Full Time | 38 hours/week Salary Range: 80K AUD to 85K AUD Expon is a Sydney based company supplying Antas(R) construction sealants and adhesives in Australia. Our products are used in applications including the construction and installation of precast panels; facade; windows and doors; kitchen and bathrooms; roofing and waterproofing. Responsibilities: Providing technical support to customers in selecting and using of Expon construction sealant products including: Testing and evaluating construction sealant products; Organising and maintaining lab equipment and workplace, maintaining compliance to regulations and protocols in safety; Evaluating customer project requirements, selecting and testing Expon products for compatibility; Preparing samples, colour charts, test reports and application guidelines for customers; Attending construction site to collect samples, to provide application guidelines and to conduct onsite testing. Developing and maintaining technical documentations to support business development including: Authoring and updating Technical Datasheet and Safety Datasheet for Expon products; Preparing and distributing regular technical communications for Expon products and applications; Maintaining company’s chemical ledger for compliance; Documenting and updating testing and application procedures. Participating in product development by: Communicating with internal team and external partners for demand and technical requirements of new construction chemical products; Testing and evaluating product samples; Following market trend and innovative technologies related construction sealants. Specifying Expon products for upcoming projects by: Communicating engineers, designers and specifiers for technical specifications required for construction sealants; Developing specification documents as required; Preparing customised proposals for technical approval of Expon products. Skills Required: Minimum 1 year experience in developing, testing and evaluating of industrial sealants and adhesives. Minimum 1 year experience in construction industry. Familiar with the application of sealants and adhesives in construction. Knowledge of the requirements for construction sealants in National Conduction Code (NCC), relevant Australian, international and industrial standard. Minimum bachelor’s degree in engineering or science relevant to chemistry or construction. Strong communication skill. Minimum 1 year of previous customer or technical service experience.
