We’re expanding our Specialised Dangerous Goods division and are seeking an experienced and passionate Specialised DG Trainer to support safe, compliant and efficient heavy vehicle operations. Position Available: Specialised DG Trainer Location: Gladstone, QLD About the Role: This role will focus on training, transport compliance and company standards within our Specialised Dangerous Goods Branch Operations . You will be responsible for training new and existing frontline staff (Operations and Drivers) on the safe and efficient handling and transportation of Dangerous Goods in heavy vehicles. You will provide a structured onboarding experience, technical knowledge, operational direction and ongoing guidance to ensure safe, ethical and compliant operational performance across the division. We are looking for someone who is company-focused, safety-driven and committed to building capability across our workforce. Key Responsibilities: Train new and existing frontline employees on safe and efficient Dangerous Goods heavy vehicle operations Deliver onboarding programs specific to the Specialised Dangerous Goods division Develop and present structured training packages and materials Identify and manage training requirements relating to: Dangerous Goods compliance, Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and NHVR accreditations Conduct workplace assessments, audits and competency evaluations Support transport compliance and operational best practice across the branch Provide direction and guidance to ensure safe, ethical and compliant operational standards Participate in compliance initiatives and continuous improvement activities Skills and Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in transport, heavy vehicle operations or compliance-focused roles Dangerous Goods experience preferred but not essential Strong understanding of transport compliance, CoR and NHVR requirements Experience delivering training in both classroom and operational environments Strong presentation and written communication skills with the ability to develop structured training packages Cert IV in Training and Assessment (highly desirable) Current MC licence (highly desirable) Passion for training, mentoring and developing frontline teams Willingness to obtain SSAN Security Clearance Why Join Centurion?
