We're seeking a Systems Engineer to join our client's team supporting the delivery of advanced communications capability within a Defence environment. This role will suit someone with a strong background in electronics and communications systems, with experience working across the systems engineering lifecycle in complex technical programs. The highlights Contract length: 6 Months, likely to extend Location: VIC, onsite requirement NV1 clearance required Key Responsibilities Apply systems engineering methodology across requirements, design, integration, verification, and validation activities Support development and integration of complex communications and electronic systems Work across Linux-based environments and IP networking architectures Contribute to system design, documentation, and technical reporting Collaborate with internal engineering teams, Defence stakeholders, and external partners Support system testing, troubleshooting, and performance analysis Skills & Experience 5 years' experience in a Systems Engineering role Bachelor's degree in Systems, Electronics, Communications, Networks, or related engineering discipline Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience working with Linux operating systems and IP networking Eligible to obtain Australian Defence security clearance and comply with ITAR requirements Desirable Experience Defence industry experience applying systems engineering processes across the lifecycle Current NV1 Security Clearance Experience with Voice over IP, radio, or telephony communications systems If you are a Systems Engineer with a communications or electronics background looking to contribute to complex Defence capability, we'd love to hear from you.
