About the Position: Complete Dental Care, located on St Kilda Road, is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team on a full time basis. This is a 12-month maternity leave contract with the possibility of extension beyond the initial term. Our state-of-the-art, 5-chair practice is dedicated to delivering top-quality, patient-centered care. We offer a wide range of dental services, from general dentistry to cosmetic treatments, including implants. As a Dental Assistant, you’ll work closely with the practice manager and collaborate with our dental team, gaining opportunities for professional development and skill enhancement along the way. Key Responsibilities: Patient Care: Assist with patient management, including greeting patients, preparing them for procedures, and ensuring their comfort. Clinical Support: Prepare and sterilise dental instruments, assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, and maintain a clean and organised treatment area. Inventory Management: Monitor dental supplies levels, ensuring the treatment room is well-stocked and organised. Patient Education: Provide patients with post-operative care instructions and educate them about oral hygiene and preventive care. Team Collaboration: Work closely with dentists, hygienists, and other staff to ensure a smooth workflow and positive patient experience. Compliance: Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols, as well as regulatory requirements in the dental practice.
