It is therefore a genuine occupational requirement under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991. Administration Officer – Primary Health Care is a dynamic role. It is the first point of contact community have with the medical clinics. The role is subject to the duties of welcoming clients, providing phone booking Hub services and clinic administration. The Administration Officer – Primary Health Care is required to be solution based, ensure patient flow is conducted with minimal interruptions by effectively using time management skills, informative communication skills while observing the overall demeanour of the patients in waiting. Duties Phone Booking Hub Ensure patient flow is effective through clinic calendars. Display professional phone manner. General Administration Ensure appropriate handling of GP referrals and correspondence. Ensure patient flow is effective through clinic calendars. Display professional phone manner. Ensure administration recalls are actioned daily. Welcome Duties Actively engage with clients as they enter the clinic, monitor clinic flow, queries, and support the clients that are waiting. Ensure effective implementation and maintenance of ATSICHS Policy and procedures in line with AGPAL Accreditation Standards. Desired Skills and Experience Required Identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. Certificate III Business Administration (or equivalent). Previous experience working in an administration and /or service coordination role. Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and understand the cycle of care patient system. National Police Certificate. Evidence of Work Rights. Driving License. Additional Requirements Previous experience working with an electronic Patient Management System such as MMEx. Experience working within an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community health service. Demonstrated organisation skills, including an ability to multi-task, to plan, set and prioritise.
