Amaroo, ACT | Licensed Capacity: 107 | $47.77 – $53.67 per hour Busy Bees at Amaroo is seeking an experienced and values-driven Centre Director to lead our vibrant early learning service in Canberra’s north. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving quality, culture, compliance, and commercial performance while nurturing strong relationships with families, educators, and the wider community. You will be supported by a dedicated Area Director, national support teams, and Busy Bees’ pedagogy and compliance partners, allowing you to focus on what matters most — leading people and delivering exceptional outcomes for children. About the Role As Centre Director, you will be accountable for the overall success of the service, including: Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team Ensuring compliance with the National Quality Framework and ACT regulatory requirements Driving occupancy, financial performance, and sustainable growth Embedding high-quality pedagogy and inclusive practice across the service Building strong partnerships with families and the local community Managing staffing, rosters, budgets, and operational priorities Creating a positive, safe, and engaging environment for children and staff What You’ll Need Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or higher (ACECQA approved) Current ACT Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration (or ability to obtain) Proven experience as a Centre Director or Service Manager in early learning Strong knowledge of the NQF, National Law and Regulations Demonstrated leadership, people management, and commercial acumen Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Full-time availability (this role is not suitable for part-time arrangements) Key Benefits (Service Manager/Centre Director) Key Benefits we offer for joining our Hive: Higher Salary - Competitive, above-award salary, negotiable to meet your needs.
