As a Workplace Administrator , you will create a welcoming, organised, and highly functional workplace experience. You’ll be the first point of contact for staff, executives, visitors and contractors, ensuring every interaction reflects our values of compassion, respect, justice and working together. You’ll support the smooth running of daily office operations, reception, meeting spaces, onboarding, safety processes, and general administration. Please note: This position is Permanent Part Time , working Monday to Friday, 7:30am–12:30pm . This is an on‑site role based at our Ann Street head office in Brisbane, supporting face‑to‑face workplace operations. Your part in our UnitingCare team: Open the office each morning, ensuring the space is safe, welcoming and ready for staff and visitors at the start of each day. Act as the warm, professional first point of contact for all staff and visitors, supporting reception, enquiries and switchboard operations. Create a positive workplace experience by maintaining tidy, safe and welcoming shared areas including reception, meeting rooms, kitchens and wellness spaces. Coordinate meeting room setups including AV, seating, materials and catering. Support Board and Executive meetings, staff engagements and internal events. Assist with workplace components of onboarding and offboarding including workspace allocation, document handling and technology setup. Support WHS practices including hazard identification, incident reporting, emergency procedures and general safety compliance. Liaise with building management, security, cleaners and contractors to ensure smooth operations and timely resolution of issues. Build positive relationships across teams to support an efficient, safe and people‑centred workplace. What makes a difference for us? Experience in reception, office administration or workplace coordination. Warm, engaging customer service style with strong professionalism. Excellent organisational skills and ability to juggle priorities. High attention to detail, sound judgement and reliability. Confidence working with Microsoft Office and learning new systems. Ability to manage confidential information with discretion. Understanding of safety, risk and compliance (desirable). Experience with AV/IT support or events (desirable). Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies.
