Collinsville Open Cut is located approximately 160km from Airlie Beach in Queensland, a town known as the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef. Producing both metallurgical and thermal coal for the export market, the surface mine has a long life and is currently investing in significant upgrades to the Coal Handling and Preparation Plant. Reporting to the CHPP Maintenance Superintendent, the Maintenance Planners key responsibilities include ensuring statutory testing and inspections are performed in the CHPP by the required scheduled dates and that records are maintained to the highest standard. You will develop and implement short- and long-term maintenance plans associated with CHPP to ensure that targeted maintenance performance achieved. About The Role: Oversee all aspects of CHPP mechanical and electrical maintenance, including shutdown planning, execution, and continuous improvement initiatives. Develop and execute proactive maintenance plans to minimise downtime and extend plant life. Lead and mentor a team of engineers, planners and supervisors, promoting a strong safety culture and operational excellence. Manage budgets, contractor performance, and long-term asset integrity strategies. Collaborate with Operations and Engineering to identify and deliver reliability improvements. Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, and environmental obligations. About You: Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role. A Trade or Tertiary qualification is advantageous. SAP proficient. Strong focus for innovation. Actively investigate enhancements to procedures and processes that achieve improvements in the performance, safety and productivity. Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills. Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment. Ability to liaise with key internal and external stakeholders.
