Carers NSW is the peak organisation for carers in NSW. We are a not-for-profit organisation connecting and empowering carers across NSW and improving their quality of life through activities, programs, training and policy advice. We advocate for carers of all ages and circumstances. As the Young Carer Digital Impact Officer, you will bring the lived experience and insights of a young carer to review, analyse, and strengthen Carers NSW’s approach to social media and digital engagement. This role will work collaboratively with the Policy and Communications teams to assess effectiveness of current practice, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement creative recommendations to increase awareness, connection, and participation with young carers in NSW. Young carers are children and young people aged 25 years and under who provide unpaid care and support to a family member, friend or partner living with a disability, mental illness, drug and/or alcohol dependency, chronic condition, terminal illness or who is ageing or frail. Young carers are not always, but can be, the main provider of support (the primary carer). This is a part time (2 days per week) contract position until August 2026. Our ideal candidate should possess the following skills and attributes: Lived experience as a young carer, or a former young carer Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or working towards. Demonstrated experience in digital marketing or a related role Proficiency in Google Analytics, Google Ads, and social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook & Linkedin.
