About the Role: We are looking for a Senior Interior Designer to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract to cover parental leave. Ideally, you bring experience working in the Health sector and are looking to contribute to complex projects in a meaningful way. Experience in Workspace, Commercial, or Education sectors will be looked favourably upon. As a Senior Interior Designer, you will be tasked with managing projects nearly autonomously, including project financials and acting as the client contact, with support from our Partners. Strong design acumen and a proactive, organised mindset are a must. This is both a leadership and hands-on role. We rely on our designers to manage projects from end to end, sometimes with assistance from our senior leaders and Partners, documenters, our technology team, or autonomously. All our designers are required to have strong Revit skills as well as the proven ability to communicate designs and ideas through multiple mediums including Revit, Enscape, InDesign, and Photoshop. Our office is conveniently located just a short walk from Southern Cross and Flagstaff stations, with easy tram access via Bourke and Collins Streets. We also offer excellent end-of-trip facilities, including lockers and towel service. General Responsibilities: Play a key role in client briefings, workshops, design, and design development Manage and deliver projects from all stages: concept design, design development, documentation, on-site construction management, with experience working on Health sector projects being highly regarded Lead and manage your own folio of projects and work closely with our Partners Liaise with clients, consultants and other external stakeholders Contribute to the ongoing development and mentoring of other staff Prepare presentations and communicate designs in multiple forms; Revit, Enscape, InDesign, Photoshop, VR, etc. About you: You are passionate about design and happy to work autonomously, delivering beautiful client outcomes whilst also using your practical and organised nature to ensure each project is a success. You will need: A diploma or bachelor’s degree in interior design or interior architecture A minimum of 7 years’ experience in interior design A passion for design, ideas, and a willingness to innovate. To be a part of our studio culture which can involve attending client and supplier events Strong or developing client and stakeholder management skills Strong Revit skills Ability to manage projects through all project phases: concept design, space planning, design development, documentation, on-site construction management and contract administration A thorough understanding of the fundamental BCA’s and related building regulations and specifications The capacity to work as part of a team with the ability to work autonomously Passionate about mentoring junior team members What is on Offer?
