Picton location Permanent Full-Time position - 35-hour week Salary commencing from $1,406.09 per week 12% Superannuation Access to generous Flex-time provisions and other flexible work provisions About the opportunity We are seeking a Graduate Asset Engineer to join our Assets, Transport & Engineering team. This role is designed as a developmental graduate position, providing hands-on experience, mentoring and exposure to Australian local government asset management practices. You will work closely with experienced engineers and asset professionals while building core technical, analytical and field skills. Key responsibilities include: Assisting with asset inspections, data capture and updating Council’s asset management systems for transport and stormwater assets Supporting stormwater and transport asset revaluations, including data validation and contractor review Processing ADAC submissions and liaising with Development Engineers and developers Assisting with scoping and prioritisation for Council’s 1 year and 4 year Capital Works Programs Reviewing contractor-supplied stormwater data and updating the asset register The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate their competency for the position by meeting the following essential criteria: Completion of a Degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline) within the last 2–3 years, or currently enrolled in final year. Drivers Licence. NSW White Card for construction works. Demonstrated written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated ability to manage competing workloads. Ability to provide high level customer service to internal and external customers in often unusual or complex situations.
