About the role As the Property Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of a portfolio of residential and/or commercial properties. You will manage tenant relationships, coordinate maintenance and repairs, handle leasing and rent collection, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations. This full-time position, reporting to the Operations Manager, will see you using leading property management software to keep everything running smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of your property portfolio, including leasing, rent collection, tenant enquiries and arrears management. Coordinate routine and ad hoc property inspections, maintenance and repairs to ensure properties are well presented, safe and compliant. Manage lease documentation, including new leases, renewals, amendments and terminations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Prepare and maintain accurate financial and performance reports for senior management, tracking income, expenses and property performance. Ensure legal and regulatory compliance, including attending VCAT hearings when required and keeping up to date with relevant tenancy and building legislation. About you To be successful in this role, you will have: Proven experience as a Property Manager or in a similar role (ideally 3 years) managing residential and/or commercial properties. Strong knowledge of Victorian property management, leasing processes and relevant tenancy laws and regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and resolve tenant issues professionally. Highly developed organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with property management software (e.g. Property Tree) and the Microsoft Office suite; a valid real estate licence and familiarity with the international student community and Mandarin language skills will be highly regarded.
