We are seeking an accomplished Engineering Manager to take ownership of engineering governance, technical and commercial direction, and delivery assurance across a portfolio of complex civil infrastructure projects. About the role This role requires mature judgement, strategic thinking and the confidence to make - and stand behind - critical technical and commercial decisions. You will: Provide overarching technical leadership across multiple major projects; Set and uphold engineering standards, governance and compliance; Lead, mentor and develop senior engineers and teams; Act as the escalation point for complex design and constructability matters; Balance engineering integrity with commercial realities; Work closely with construction and commercial leaders to ensure disciplined delivery. A comprehensive Position Description is available is available upon request. About You You are a confident, respected and proven engineering leader who is already operating at a senior level. Comfortable being the point of accountability for technical outcomes, you are accustomed to operating at scale, but you are now looking for greater influence, visibility, and ownership. You don’t want to be one layer removed from decisions. You want to shape them. You will bring: A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and RPEQ or CPEng; 12 years’ experience delivering complex civil construction projects; Significant experience in Design & Construct environments; Demonstrated expertise in temporary works, constructability, staging, and project engineering leadership; Proven ability to resolve complex technical and productivity challenges in live project environments; Strong understanding of Australian Standards, client specifications, and road authority requirements; Demonstrated leadership of experienced, multi-disciplinary engineering teams; Strong commercial acumen and decision-making capability; The ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive accountability.
