Flexible working with 1 WFH day a week Multinational presence, market leading contractor Stakeholder engagement Reporting to the Financial controller, this role will oversee financial planning, compliance, reporting and cash flow management. THE ROLE Management Accounting & Reporting Own the monthly management accounting and reporting function across the group—complete, accurate and on time. Lead month-end close: review journals, accruals and the treatment of transactions. Prepare and review management reports, with variance analysis and clear, value-adding commentary for senior management and the Board. Review and maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring integrity and compliance with accounting standards. Planning, Forecasting & Analytics Lead the annual group budgeting process, including financial models, reports, analytics and supporting commentary. Lead regular reforecasts with analysis of key drivers, risks and opportunities. Develop and deliver financial analytics and dashboards (e.g., Power BI) to support operational and strategic decision-making. Business Partnering & Governance Act as a finance business partner to operational and corporate stakeholders, providing insights and guidance. Ensure strong governance, internal controls and compliance with accounting standards, policies and procedures. Coordinate external audits, including preparation/collation of audit information and responses to queries. Leadership & Continuous Improvement Manage and develop the management accounting team—workload planning, performance, coaching and capability development. Drive continuous improvement across reporting processes, systems and controls. Provide financial support for tenders and commercial submissions as required. Provide leave coverage across the broader finance team and undertake ad-hoc duties as requested by the Financial Controller, CFO or Senior Leadership. ABOUT YOU Technical & Professional Proven experience in group management accounting, month-end close and board-level reporting. Strong command of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and balance sheet integrity. Proficient with financial modelling and building dashboards (Power BI highly regarded). Deep understanding of accounting standards and internal control frameworks. Comfortable coordinating external audits and addressing technical queries.
