About Us Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission. Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the ‘Courts Group'. CCV The County Court of Victoria is established pursuant to the County Court Act 1958. It has original and appellate jurisdiction and is the principal trial court in the State of Victoria. The Court hears over 12,000 criminal, common law, and commercial cases each year. The County Court has unlimited monetary jurisdiction in common law and commercial matters. In its criminal jurisdiction, the Court hears all indictable offences except treason, murder, and related offences. There are a total of 80 Judges of the Court and over 300 staff, including judicial support staff. The County Court regularly conducts circuit sittings at 12 circuit courts situated in major centres throughout regional Victoria. About the Role The Senior Manager, DATC ensures the effective, sustainable and evidence‑informed operation of the Drug and Alcohol Treatment Court. The role connects strategy to operations, aligning people, processes and resources to deliver high‑quality therapeutic services. It contributes to organisational success by strengthening program governance, building team capability, supporting judicial decision‑making, and ensuring DATC operations align with broader County Court and Specialist Courts Division priorities. The role leads the delivery of the program within the County Court of Victoria and workx closely with the Judge in Charge, ensuring the DATC provides high‑quality, evidence‑informed services that improve outcomes for participants, the Court and the community. In this role, you will have: meaningful impact - leading a therapeutic justice program that delivers life-changing outcomes for participants and contributes to safer, stronger communities high-level influence - working directly with judicial officers and senior leaders to shape strategic and operational priorities multidisciplinary leadership - guiding clinical and administrative teams delivering complex work in a supportive, evidence-informed environment Duties include: Lead daily DATC operations to ensure services meet judicial expectations and achieve strong program outcomes Provide authoritative, timely and evidence‑informed advice to the Judge in Charge, judicial officers and executives Use data, research and evaluation to drive continuous improvement, program performance and service sustainability Lead and support multidisciplinary teams, including two operational managers, with a focus on capability, wellbeing and performance. Manage budgets, workflow, procurement, contracts and quality improvement processes to ensure compliant, value‑for‑money service delivery. About You The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate: Specialist knowledge of therapeutic alcohol and drug treatment approaches, ideally within a court, justice, health or community services setting Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary, collaborative teams Strong strategic and operational management capability, including resource management, budgeting and planning High‑level communication skills, with the ability to provide credible advice and engage effectively on sensitive issues Experience in stakeholder management, systems thinking and embedding data‑driven improvements Ability to proactively manage psychosocial risks and contribute to a safe and positive workplace culture. Qualifications A tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, law, health, business, or related field and/or significant twork experience in a similar field is desired.
