We are now seeking an experienced Cable Jointer to join our team at our Mickleham, Truganina or Pakenham Depot . Description We are seeking an experienced Cable Jointer proficient in jointing, terminating and testing cables with knowledge of both high and low voltage systems. You will have extensive experience in jointing sections of cable and preparing terminations to connect electrical assets. You will be required to conduct routine maintenance, perform tests to check cable integrity, locate and repair faults in power supply networks to ensure the safe and reliable distribution of electricity. You will provide guidance and assistance to construction crews to ensure projects meet safety, quality, and timeliness standards. Additionally, this role requires updating and maintaining records, location guides, diagrams of cable systems and completing required paperwork and safety documentation. You will be hardworking, dedicated and a natural problem solver with great time management skills. Qualifications and Licenses: Certificate III in ESI-Distribution Underground or equivalent Essential VESI Accreditation Essential Drivers Licence Essential Industry White Card Essential HR Truck Licence Desirable EWP Licence Desirable Forklift Licence Desirable Crane licence Desirable Any additional Cable training eg Paper led 66kV Desirable Skills And Experiences To join the UCS team, it is essential you have the following: Willingness to work effectively and efficiently with constructions teams Effective problem solving and analytical skills Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to engage with a range of stakeholders.
