Position Title: Accounts Officer Location: Melbourne Industry: Building & Construction Reports to: Finance Manager The Company Our client is a fast-growing construction services business experiencing strong project growth across Victoria. With a collaborative team culture and a focus on operational excellence, they are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to support the finance function during an exciting growth phase. The Role This role will have a strong focus on Accounts Payable, while also supporting month-end processes and broader finance administration. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely processing of supplier invoices and contributing to the integrity of financial reporting. Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable End-to-end processing of supplier invoices Matching, batching and coding invoices to projects and cost centres Managing approval workflows and resolving invoice discrepancies Preparing and processing weekly payment runs Supplier statement reconciliations Responding to supplier queries in a timely manner Month-End & Finance Support Assisting with month-end close processes Preparing accruals and prepayments Balance sheet reconciliations Supporting project cost tracking and reporting Assisting with audit preparation and documentation Ad hoc finance and administrative support as required About You 2 years' experience in an Accounts Payable or Accounts Officer role Experience within construction, projects or a trade-based environment highly regarded Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy Ability to manage high invoice volumes and meet deadlines Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills Intermediate Excel skills and experience with accounting systems What's on Offer Opportunity to join a growing and dynamic business Supportive team environment with strong leadership Exposure to project-based accounting and broader finance responsibilities Long-term career development opportunities
