This role will position NDS as a trusted guide for members in adopting AI safely and effectively, ensuring the offer is practical, scalable, and responsive to the evolving needs of the disability sector. This is not a technical role. The Project Lead – AI Member Offer will coordinate the delivery of AI practice insights, policy guidance, member forums, vendor engagement tools, working collaboratively across NDS and with members. Key Responsibilities: Lead the implementation of the NDS AI member offer, including planning, organising, and coordinating all activities across its five core components: AI practice insights, high-level policy guidance, member forums and communities of practice, AI vendor hub, ande-learning for AI literacy. Develop and share AI practice insights by sourcing, packaging, and disseminating case studies and examples of AI adoption in the disability sector, including best practices and lessons learned. Provide high-level policy guidance by creating and updating principles of good AI practice, policy templates, and compliance resources, ensuring alignment with legal, ethical, and sector standards. Facilitate member forums and communities of practice to enable peer learning, discussion of AI challenges, and sharing of solutions, both online and through regular meetings. Establish and maintain the AI vendor hub, including developing procurement checklists, curating a directory of AI vendors, and supporting members to engage confidently with the AI ecosystem. Support the development and delivery of AI e-learning and training resources to build member capability and AI literacy. Monitor, evaluate, and report on the effectiveness of the AI member offer, using defined success metrics and member feedback to drive continuous improvement. Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including NDS executives, member organisations, government, and sector partners, to ensure the AI offer remains relevant and impactful. Coordinate with subject matter experts to ensure the offer is informed by the latest developments in AI and disability services. Support NDS’s own internal AI adoption, including researching and recommending suitable partners and integrating AI initiatives with existing systems and processes. Champion ethical, inclusive, and responsible AI adoption across the sector, advocating for best practice and supporting members to navigate risks and compliance requirements. Skills And Experiences Skills & Experience: Demonstrated experience in project management, change management, ideally within the disability, community, or technology sectors. Strong understanding of AI trends, risks, and opportunities, with the ability to translate complex concepts into practical guidance for diverse audiences. Experience in stakeholder engagement, facilitation of communities of practice, and collaborative problem-solving. Excellent communication, content creation, and publishing skills, including the ability to develop accessible resources. Analytical and strategic thinking, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation. Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver results in a dynamic environment. Proficiency with digital collaboration tools and the MS Office Suite. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (desirable).
