Your role at St John of God Murdoch As a Theatre Orderly, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and, under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, support the delivery of high-quality patient care while providing assistance and essential support services to clinical staff within the Operating Suite. The Position Assist with the transfer, transport and care of patients and equipment as directed by the Nursing Staff, in accordance with safe practice guidelines and the relevant shift Duty Statements. Assist in the cleaning of the department in accordance with Duty Statements and Hospital cleaning protocols and procedures. Assist in the delivery and collection of meals as required and in accordance with Duty Statements. Presents a professional, courteous approach when attending to patients and all enquiries. Contribute to the development of teamwork within the department and the wider hospital community as per the Duty Statements. Communicate appropriate information to the Registered Nurse, Shift Coordinator or Nurse Manager. Applicants will be considered for future vacancies that become available over the next 6 months. Working effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment with commitment to customer service you will hold well-developed verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to prioritise workload with good organisational skills. To succeed you will have the attainment of or progression towards PCA Certificate III in Health Support Services (Client/Patient Support Services). Recent experience in an acute hospital setting, in a similar role is advantageous.
