Supporting a diverse workforce, this organisation is seeking an experienced standalone Senior Payroll Officer with end-to-end payroll responsibility to join their finance team in a pivotal and trusted role. The Position: Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will complete all payroll associated tasks for 270 staff. Key responsibilities include; Manage the end-to-end payroll function across weekly and monthly pay cycles for 270 staff, ensuring accurate, in-full and on-time processing using Micropay Ensure compliance with all statutory obligations, including superannuation, payroll tax, PAYG, STP and year-end payroll requirements Act as the primary payroll contact for employees, responding to queries and resolving discrepancies Interpret and apply awards, enterprise agreements and employment contracts accurately Maintain payroll master data, system integrity and supporting documentation Support internal and external audits relating to payroll and statutory compliance Prepare and review monthly payroll reconciliations and payroll-related balance sheet reconciliations, including wages clearing, PAYG and superannuation accounts Process payroll journals, accruals and adjustments, ensuring accurate general ledger postings Generate, analyse and provide payroll reports to internal stakeholders as required Maintain and strengthen internal controls across payroll processes The Candidate: To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong blend of payroll expertise and financial accounting capability, along with the confidence to operate independently. Proven experience in end-to-end payroll management and Australian payroll legislation, including awards and enterprise agreements Strong systems capability with advanced Excel skills and ideally Micropay A proactive, detail-driven approach and strong sense of ownership This role will suit someone who values accuracy, enjoys accountability, and wants to play a key role in supporting employees The Benefits: In return, you’ll be joining a stable, global organisation that genuinely invests in its people.
