The Reportable Conduct Scheme (the Scheme) seeks to improve how organisations identify and respond to allegations of child abuse and misconduct. Working to establish and manage a new team, the Manager Child Safety Intake is responsible for the operational performance of the intake function for the Scheme and will lead the management of notifications of alleged abuse and investigation findings made by organisations under the Scheme. This includes leading a team to apply an analytical focus to recommending whether notifications come within scope of the Scheme, validating critical information, identifying risks, responding to enquiries via phone and email about the Scheme, providing advice and guidance to organisations and preparing referrals to Victoria Police and other regulators. The Manager Child Safety Intake will model a trauma-informed and child-centered approach, and collaborate with other teams who deliver other aspects of the operation of the Scheme. In this role you will: Establish a new team and collaborate with other senior colleagues to manage the Reportable Conduct Scheme (the Scheme) Manage a team to ensure a timely response and coordination of incoming notifications and investigation findings, enquiries, phone calls and written correspondence in regard to the Scheme Prepare written analysis looking at whether matters come within the jurisdiction of the Scheme, ensure information is shared with the appropriate authorities and respond to incoming enquiries, phone calls and written correspondence. Engage with organisations and members of the public, including parents and carers and victim survivors, about the Scheme Provide advice to organisations to support appropriate investigations and drive compliance with the Scheme. As our ideal candidate, you will: Possess advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. Have well developed verbal and written communication skills. Be able to manage a range of competing priorities, work independently and lead a team. Have experience in a regulatory environment and/or in an organisation or area related to the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.
