This role is critical in ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant handling of claims, while delivering exceptional service to internal stakeholders and supporting continuous improvement in claims performance. What You’ll Be Doing Manage and process insurance claims efficiently and accurately. Investigate claims, gather documentation, and maintain records in the Claims Register. Collaborate with Finance, Security, and Group Insurance teams for reporting and analysis. Evaluate claims for validity and coverage, and negotiate settlements where appropriate. Support legal investigations and prepare documentation for litigation when required. Provide training and support to internal teams to improve claims management processes. Assist with monthly provisioning and end-of-month financial reporting. Identify trends and recommend process improvements to reduce claim incidence and cost. Deliver exceptional customer service to internal departments and external stakeholders. What You’ll Bring Strong understanding of corporate claims processes and insurance principles. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills. High attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and claims management systems. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure. Experience in incident investigation and reporting. Knowledge of legal frameworks (e.g., QCAT, VCAT, NSW small claims) impacting claims. Ability to translate data into actionable insights for business units.
