The key duties of the position include The Role The Maritime Integrated Warfare Systems (MIWS) Branch is a very busy organisation which is never dull and no two days are the same. The Maritime Integrated Warfare System (MIWS) Branch requires two EL1 Supply Support (ILS) Managers to provide critical leadership and management across two key areas: MIWS E&L Matrix Team Hunter Class Frigate Combat System (HCF-CS) Program Both positions are essential to delivering and integrating complex maritime capabilities, ensuring operational readiness, and supporting long-term sustainment for the ADF. The Supply Support Manager is responsible for delivering effective supply support across the Defence capability lifecycle. This role ensures equipment, spares, consumables, and repairable items are available to meet operational, maintenance, and readiness requirements. This role will also be responsible for the design, development and implementation of the Supply Support Capability. It contributes directly to platform availability by planning, managing, and optimising Defence supply chains in accordance with Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) frameworks and Defence logistics governance. These roles ensure Whole of Combat and Whole of Ship integration from a Supply Support perspective and compliance with Branch, N4, and Seaworthiness standards. They are accountable for guiding multidisciplinary teams comprising ADF, APS, and MSP personnel to achieve these outcomes. Key responsibilities common to both positions include: Supply Support guidance and support to projects and programs Supply Support workforce development Technical assessments and assurance Supply chain and spares modelling Obsolescence management Codification and Cataloguing Input to Technical publications and documentation Fundamental Inputs to Capability (FIC) management - Supplies and Support FIC Oversee accurate inventory, catalogue and data management within the approved Defence ERP system.
