WSP is seeking an Associate Fire Protection Engineer to lead and deliver fire protection design across a major, city‑shaping multi‑station transport program . This role suits someone with strong technical capability, excellent coordination skills and the confidence to drive outcomes in a complex, multidisciplinary environment. What You’ll Be Doing Lead fire protection design delivery across a significant multi‑station transport program Develop and review fire protection solutions including hydrants, sprinklers, detection and EWIS systems Coordinate closely with architecture, structures, mechanical, electrical and key external stakeholders Oversee technical quality, design compliance and documentation outputs Engage with contractors, authorities and client representatives throughout design and delivery Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a high‑performing, collaborative team What We’re Looking For Strong fire protection design experience, ideally within large, multidisciplinary project environments Proven capability coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines and managing complex interfaces Experience in transport, rail or station projects is advantageous but not essential Solid understanding of the BCA, Australian Standards, performance‑based design and authority requirements A proactive communicator who thrives in fast‑paced, high‑profile project settings Someone motivated by leadership, ownership, and delivering high‑quality engineering outcomes Why This Role?
