About the Role: We are seeking a Communications Coordinator for a 6 months opportunity at location: THQ Redfern, NSW. Purpose of the Role: The Communication Coordinator will support Mission Enablement and the Communications Manager in executing and monitoring communication strategies developed for The Salvation Army Aged Care. They will also be helping to grow The Salvation Army Aged Care’s Residential Care, Home Care and Retirement Living services and The Salvation Army Aged Care brand by contributing to internal and external newsletters, The Salvation Army Aged Care’s website, and public relations opportunities, amongst other communications tasks. It is a busy, rewarding role within The Salvation Army’s Internal Communications team, and there is plenty of opportunity to be creative and to learn and grow. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Create communications in alignment with communications strategies, brand identity and business initiatives. Manage content calendars and coordinate digital content distribution across multiple channels. Monitor the performance of internal and external communications and provide reports to the Communications Manager. Support TSAAC’s working groups and the frontline as Support training and relational development strategies around current and new systems and to induct staff members of TSAAC in its communications processes. Education and Qualifications Required: A Bachelor’s degree specialising in communications or journalism. High level Microsoft Suite skills with Adobe Suite experience advantageous. Soft Skills Required: Strong communications skills, including copywriting and editing skills; an excellent understanding of the print and digital publishing landscapes; and an ability to contribute to editorial direction from idea generation through to production. Experience working with detailed and technical content to produce briefing materials as well as written and data-based reports. An ability to work under pressure in a busy environment while managing multiple projects across different divisions. Effective time management skills with an ability to prioritise tasks and think analytically. Proven strength as a team player to engage and build effective working relationships across multiple departments.
