Wilson Diesel Services is a family-owned mechanical business based in the Northern Territory, supporting mining, civil and corporate fleets across the Barkly and surrounding regions. Our Light Vehicle workshop continues to grow, and with consistent work coming in, we are looking to appoint an experienced Auto Electrician with automotive air conditioning experience to join our team. ⚠️ This is a residential role based in Tennant Creek. This position is NOT FIFO or DIDO. Key Responsibilities Diagnose, repair and fault-find complex electrical systems using advanced diagnostic and scan tools across: Corporate fleets Mine-spec vehicles 4x4s and general customer vehicles Electrical fault-finding and repairs on: Starting and charging systems Battery and dual-battery systems Lighting, accessories and safety systems CAN-bus, BCM and body electrical systems Install and repair mine-spec and fleet accessories including isolators, beacons, radios, alarms and safety equipment Wiring repairs, loom repairs and electrical modifications to manufacturer and site requirements Pre-delivery inspections and electrical and A/C compliance checks Road-test vehicles post-repair to ensure faults are fully rectified Lead by example with hands-on work and high workmanship standards Ensure WHS compliance, site requirements and quality control Manage electrical and A/C parts, stock and consumables Support and mentor apprentices as required Maintain accurate job cards, service records and compliance documentation About You Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology (or equivalent) Experience working on automotive air conditioning systems Minimum 3 years post-trade experience Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills across electrical and A/C systems Experience working on mine-spec and fleet vehicles Well organised with solid job-planning skills Confident communicator with clients and team members Current C-Class Australian Driver’s Licence Territory experience and familiarity with regional work environments will be highly regarded.
