They are seeking a Data Analytics Engineer to join a high-calibre team of analytics specialists and play a key role in building and optimising modern data platforms that support critical products and data initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working end-to-end - from data ingestion and modelling through to analytics, reporting and machine learning - and who is excited by the challenge of building scalable, high-quality data systems from the ground up. The Role As a Data Analytics Engineer, you will be responsible for expanding and optimising data and pipeline architecture, ensuring complex datasets are structured, accurate and actionable. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to enable trusted, self-service analytics and data-driven decision making across the organisation. Key Responsibilities Implement data ingestion processes and maintain streamlined, reliable data pipelines Construct complex data transformations and deliver Power BI reports from clean and presentation data layers Model and transform raw data to support analytics and empower end users Execute analytical experiments to solve problems across multiple domains Design, develop and deploy machine learning models to address business challenges Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into data solutions and reports Analyse data for trends and patterns with clear objectives in mind Maintain schema, metadata and data documentation Provide training to stakeholders on data exploration, visualisation and report usage Collaborate with a team of data and analytics experts to continuously improve data systems Skills & Experience To succeed in this role, you will bring: 5 years' experience in a Data Analytics Engineer (or similar) role Advanced SQL skills and experience working with relational databases Strong experience designing and optimising data pipelines, architectures and datasets Proven capability in data modelling and transformation Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis Experience working with structured and unstructured datasets Strong written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail and strong organisational skills Experience working in cross-functional, fast-moving environments Technical experience across some or all of the following: SQL platforms: MS SQL, Snowflake, Postgres Azure Analysis Services (Tabular models) and Power BI Data pipeline and workflow tools: dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, Luigi, Azkaban Python or similar scripting languages Machine learning toolsets such as Snowpark Python or Jupyter Notebook Working knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodologies A graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or a related quantitative discipline is preferred.
