Company Name: Bev Plastics Pty Ltd Position: Electrical Engineering Technician Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per annum plus superannuation Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time Location: Victoria Bev Plastics is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineering Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and improvement of electrical systems within our manufacturing environment. This role works closely with Electrical Engineers and the wider technical team to ensure electrical installations, equipment, and systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Australian standards. Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties: Preparing and updating drawings, plans, and diagrams for electrical installations, circuitry, and equipment Assisting Electrical Engineers and Engineering Technologists with the design and layout of electrical installations, including switchgear, cabling systems, motor control systems, and plant infrastructure Collecting operational data, conducting electrical tests, performing calculations, and preparing charts and technical documentation Estimating material requirements, quantities, and associated costs for electrical works and upgrades Inspecting electrical designs, installations, and completed works to ensure compliance with specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements Assembling, installing, testing, calibrating, modifying, and repairing electrical equipment and installations in line with workplace safety and legislative requirements Undertaking electrical workshop activities, including assembling and installing protection relays, metering, monitoring, and indicating devices Supporting preventative maintenance programs and assisting with continuous improvement initiatives Assisting with research, testing, and experimentation related to electrical systems and manufacturing processes Qualifications and Experience To be successful in this role, you will have: A relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering Technology or a closely related field. Adequate work experience may be considered in lieu of qualifications.
