We are seeking experienced Fitters and Welder/Fabricators with fitting experience for immediate start at a Smithfield factory plant. This is a great opportunity to join a growing team and work on challenging maintenance and repair projects. About the Role You will be responsible for: Performing maintenance, repairs, and breakdown work on factory equipment Troubleshooting mechanical issues and conducting routine maintenance Inspecting and testing equipment to identify potential problems and implement corrective actions Collaborating with team members to improve equipment performance and reduce downtime Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities For Welder/Fabricators, duties will also include: Fabrication and welding of components as required Assisting with fitting tasks and plant maintenance Requirements Trade Certificate (Fitter or Welder/Fabricator) Proven experience in maintenance and repairs Ability to pass a pre-employment medical High-risk licenses (advantageous) Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work in a team environment Qualified tradespeople at all experience levels are encouraged to apply.
