This position operationally and professionally manages, supervises, coordinates and supports a team of administrative staff working in Private Practice, Revenue Services and performs a range of financial and administration functions to ensure consistent and high-quality services. The Revenue Services unit is part of the Financial Services department, and it comprises private practice revenue, revenue control, accounts receivable and the revenue promotion and education functions. The unit is responsible for billing and optimising revenue from fee-paying patients and relies on best practice in revenue management. The unit provides contemporary specialist advice to service groups, clinicians, senior management, and the Health Service Executive on the efficient and effective management of resources with an emphasis on revenue opportunities, legislation and processes and systems at the State and Commonwealth level. Key Responsibilities include: Monitor workflows, work allocation, team performance, team management and internal controls and escalate when required. High level of interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Provide excellent customer service and communicate clearly and confidently with patients, members of the public and departmental staff both in person and over the telephone, answering enquiries and providing accurate advice on all Revenue related matters. Maintain confidentiality, exercise tact, discretion, and sound judgement in the absence of decision makers when liaising with administrative staff, patients and members of the public. Remuneration value up to $117 603 p.a., comprising salary between $93 556 - $103 074 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO4).
