The Role Spearhead the delivery of high-profile, award-winning operable architecture projects Collaborate with visionaries and delivery partners to transform bold ideas into sustainable, enduring, and commercially sound outcomes Be a driving force in an interdisciplinary design practice, where you'll work on transformative projects that redefine cities and communities Responsible for the end-to-end delivery of design projects, from concept development to detailed design, procurement, assembly, installation, and commissioning Manage the development and approval of design concepts, specifications and budgets, as well as the coordination of the design, manufacturing, and installation of all project-related products Develop and manage procurement strategies to improve company operations, including payment term negotiations and purchasing strategies Ensure staff resources are managed effectively during project execution, prioritising staff health and safety Manage the financial reporting obligations for all projects and develop and maintain client/supplier/manufacturer relationships Skills and experience You will be a self-starter who can motivate and influence others to drive better outcomes. With high energy and a hands-on approach, you will have a sharp attention to detail, ensuring nothing slips through the cracks. Strong interpersonal skills and a natural ease with client relationships is key for this role, as is the ability to work confidently both independently and within a team. A degree or higher in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering disciplines, or a related field A minimum of 10 years' experience in mechanical engineering design, or design consultancy, with a demonstrated ability to deliver large-scale projects from concept to completion (architectural projects, operable architecture an advantage) Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to present to senior stakeholders Proficiency in either SolidWorks or Onshape Exceptional understanding of manufacturing and material opportunities Benefits Leading design consultancy High-profile projects, tier-one clients Supportive team culture N.B.
