Description About the role We are seeking an experienced and values-driven Portfolio Management and Financial Close Manager. Reporting to the Interim Chief Investment Officer, this role has national accountability for end-to-end commercial execution of complex institutional transactions and partnerships, and ensuring legal, financial, operational, risk and governance requirements are aligned with approved investment strategies. You will provide independent commercial judgement to support the successful delivery of large-scale organisational outcomes. Key responsibilities: Lead end-to-end transaction execution, coordinating due diligence, Financial Close, and internal approvals across multiple stakeholders. Manage transaction timelines, documentation, and compliance, ensuring execution aligns with approved commercial and risk parameters. Establish and maintain contract frameworks, translating obligations into actionable requirements and monitoring ongoing compliance. Provide commercial oversight to protect value, challenge unnecessary complexity or risk, and maintain portfolio-level visibility of obligations and performance. Support smooth transition from transaction execution to ongoing operations, including reporting and partner relationship management. Skills And Experiences About you You will bring: Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Law, Business, Finance, or a related discipline. Extensive experience managing stakeholder relationships at senior and executive levels. Proven ability to lead and support Financial Close processes for complex transactions with multiple legal agreements and stakeholders. Strong commercial judgment and decision-making capability in complex environments. Excellent influencing, negotiation, and relationship-management skills. Well-developed conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Experience in community housing, government, not-for-profit or regulated sectors is highly regarded. You must agree to undergo any required employment screening, including but not limited to a National Criminal History or Police Check, Working with Children or Vulnerable Persons Check, and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
