About Us: The Parklife Metro consortium, in partnership with the NSW Government, is delivering one of Western Sydney's most transformative infrastructure projects as part of the Sydney Metro - Western Sydney Airport line. Our consortium—featuring Plenary, RATP Dev, Siemens, and Webuild —is delivering this once-in-a-generation project under the Stations, Systems, Trains, Operations and Maintenance (SSTOM) package. This includes six new stations, a stabling and maintenance facility, rail systems, and a fleet of driverless trains. The Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced Traffic Engineer to support planning, design, and delivery of traffic and transport outcomes across our project. This role will work closely with Project Managers, constructions teams and external stakeholders to ensure traffic impacts are assessed, mitigated and managed in accordance with Australian standards and any state or local authority requirements. The successful candidate will play a key role in the preparation and review of Construction, Traffic Management Plans, traffic management plans, traffic modelling, traffic impact documentation and swept path assessments. Key Responsibilities: Traffic Planning & Assessment: - Prepare, review and manage CTMP in line with project and authority requirements - Assess Traffic and Transport Impact Assessments for developers and third parties seeking to undertake works within project-influenced regions - Evaluate construction staging, access arrangements, haulage routes and temporary traffic arrangements - Provide technical advice on traffic impacts, mitigation strategies and compliance requirement Project & Stakeholder Coordination: - Liaise closely with Project Managers, construction teams and planners to ensure traffic requirements are integrated into project delivery - Engage with local councils, road authorities, consultants and developers regarding traffic and transport matters - Support authority approvals, reviews and responses to traffic related conditions and submissions Traffic Modelling & Analysis: - Undertake traffic modelling and analysis using relevant traffic modelling tools/software - Interpret modelling outputs to inform design decisions and traffic management strategies - Prepare technical reports, summaries and recommendations based on modelling outcomes Design & Documentation support: - Assist with preparation and review of Traffic Guidance Schemes and related drawings - Complete Sept Path Assessments for construction vehicles, specifically Over Size Over Mass movements - Ensure all traffic documentation is in line with Australian Standards, Austroads, TCAWS and relevant state and authority guidelines About You: Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering, Transport Planning, or a related discipline At least 3 years' experience in local government, road authorities or similar regulatory environment Experience working on large-scale civil or transport infrastructure projects Familiarity with approval pathways and authority requirements across Australian jurisdictions What We Offer: A career-defining opportunity to contribute to a high-profile, city-shaping infrastructure project.
