At Altora Ag, we’re proud to be one of Australia’s largest grain growers. We are looking to start a conversation with individuals interested in joining us in the Riverina area. In these roles you would be working in and around the wider Riverina region including Temora, West Wyalong, Narranderra. About the role You will be involved in working as a machinery operator/farm hand on a daily basis. The positions involves performing duties in all areas across this extensive farm including seeding, spraying, spreading, harvesting and transporting grain to the destinations. You will also complete some maintenance of farm structures and equipment. You will undertake general farm maintenance and paddock preparation such as cleaning up paddocks, minor earthworks, fence removal etc. About You These opportunities will suit individuals with a passion for working in the agriculture sector. You will bring with you a commitment to safe work practices, sound knowledge of machinery for farming and a hands on approach. Your strong work ethic and attention to detail, coupled with a can-do attitude and ability to thrive in a pressured and evolving environment will see you succeed in our dynamic organisation. You will have a tech savvy approach to your work including Smart Phone Apps, in cab monitors and software. In addition, you will have an understanding of your responsibility to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others and the ability to direct and support less experienced team members and casual staff when required. You have a willingness to learn, adopt new practices, participate in training and further develop personal skills, whilst working in a team environment. Ideally, you have: 2-5 years experience in Farming Operations MC Truck Drivers License and have worked with a range of equipment such as John Deere, Casein. Current chemical users’ certificate or the ability to obtain. You must have Full working rights in Australia to be considered for these roles.
