Operating Areas While our resource is concentrated in the NSW Regional area and surrounds, we regularly mobilise resource through different towns in Riverina to meet clients’ requirements. Skills and Experience required for the position AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) in Telecommunications Network Engineering or highly relevant fields. You must have at least one year full-time relevant work experience as a telecommunications technical officer/technologist or in a related field. Job Descriptions Installing, maintaining and commissioning telecommunications access networks and associated equipment using FTTN, FTTC, FTTP, FTTB, HFC and related technologies. Reviewing cable pathways prior to commencement of works and designing and planning mud maps and routing for new fibre and copper cabling installations. Conducting pre-start risk assessments and site inspections to identify hazards and obstructions that may impact successful installation or service delivery. Diagnosing, fault-finding and repairing faults across copper and optical fibre telecommunications networks. Configuring and integrating network and telecommunications equipment, including modems, routers and customer-side hardware, with computers and associated systems. Developing and maintaining detailed service logs, records of locations, equipment status and inventory using designated software applications, including uploading photographic evidence and job documentation. Receiving job allocations through NBN and company software applications, completing job summaries and submitting reports through designated field service systems. Maintaining accurate documentation relating to network configuration, network mapping, installation processes and service and fault records in accordance with company and NBN requirements. Providing technical feedback, advice and progress updates before, during and after jobs through field service applications and reporting systems. Providing ongoing operational support in designing, optimising, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing and resolving telecommunications network performance faults, defects and service malfunctions. Attending customer premises for the installation and commissioning of optical fibre and copper lead-in cabling and access network infrastructure. Interpreting straight-line diagrams, cable plans, connection points and access network designs for fibre and copper network build and remediation activities. Implementing and complying with company policies, procedures and workplace health and safety standards, ensuring all installations meet technical, regulatory and quality requirements and are completed within required timeframes. Liaising with NBN Co systems, prime infrastructure services providers, principal contractors, retail service providers and external field resources to coordinate job delivery, technical issues, reporting and contractual performance obligations.
